Terms and Conditions of Rental

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. When you book Number 7 Ninian’s Landing you are entering into a contract, the terms of which are set out in these conditions of rental. The contract is for a short-term holiday rental at Number 7 Ninian’s Landing, as specified on the booking form, between the client and Galloway Self-Catering Holidays Ltd (Company number 10332742). Covid-19 Update: We are currently taking bookings for 2021 and 2022.

If after you have paid your holiday deposit or full balance travel restrictions or a lockdown are implemented due to Covid-19 then we will refund or reschedule your holiday. We recommend you purchase travel insurance for all other instances.

If you test positive or you are contacted by NHS Track and Trace as you have been in contact with someone who tests positive then you must isolate and you cannot travel to the Isle of Whithorn. If this is the case we will do our best to relet your dates and we will refund you if we are able to (this may not be the full amount you paid for your holiday as we may need to advertise it at a lower rate).

After your arrival if you test positive or you are contacted by NHS Track and Trace as you have been in contact with someone who tests positive then you must inform us and return home immediately.

We are happy to help with any insurance claim.

If you have concerns about Covid-19 and you choose not to travel we will do our best to relet your dates and we will refund you if we are able to (this may not be the full amount as we may need to advertise your dates at a lower price).

When we can open again “We’re Good to Go“. We have worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and we have a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. The health and safety of our guests, ourselves and the local community are very important to us. Our normal arrival times and departure times may alter to ensure we have sufficient time to clean and prepare between guests.



All terms are per week and we can offer some flexibility on arrival and departure days subject to availability. Short breaks and weekend breaks are available all year round (3 night minimum). Your accommodation will be ready for occupation from 3pm on the day you start your holiday. Please ensure that you vacate the apartment and parking space by 11am on your day of departure. We will contact you prior to your day of arrival to arrange to hand over the keys to the apartment.

Booking your holiday

Provisional bookings are held for 5 days pending payment of the deposit. A binding contract will exist once your completed booking form and deposit are accepted by us. Only the people you have named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation and the total number in your party shall not exceed the advertised capacity. In order to comply with the requirements of our Insurers we reserve the right to refuse occupation on arrival should the members of your party not correspond to the details given to us by you on your booking form. In these circumstances we will return the payment you have made for your holiday less the initial deposit you have made to cover our loss of earnings. The hirer will not sublet the premises or any part thereof. In order to comply with the requirements of our insurers we are unable to accept bookings from anyone less than 18 years of age. We do not cater for stag or hen parties.

A non-returnable initial deposit of £100 is payable with each booking. The balance of the cost of the holiday is due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your stay.

Under the conditions of booking we reserve the right to invoice for any breakages, losses or where any excessive heavy cleaning is required.

The full cost of your Holiday is payable if the booking is made within 8 weeks of the commencement date of your Holiday.


The booking will be treated as cancelled if the balance of the cost of the holiday is not received by us by the date specified at the time of your booking (8 weeks before the commencement date of your holiday) or alternative payment terms have been agreed.

If you wish to cancel your booking once you have paid your initial deposit please notify us immediately. In these circumstances your initial deposit is non-returnable and any contract is rendered void.

If you cancel once you have paid the full cost of your holiday we are unable to return any monies to you. When you book your holiday with us we recommend you take out comprehensive holiday insurance to cover any cancellations or losses.

If the property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control we will discuss any possible solution with you and this may or may not involve a refund or part refund. Once we have reached an agreeable solution we will have no further liability. We reserve the right to terminate the let if we feel the person occupying or visiting the property is causing damage or nuisance.


You must ensure that the property is left in a clean and tidy condition and that the property and its contents are respected at all times. If damage occurs (beyond fair wear and tear) or excessive cleaning is required then we reserve the right to invoice you for reasonable costs. This includes any damage or excessive cleaning caused by dogs.

For the comfort of our guests Number 7 Ninian’s Landing is strictly no smoking and no E cigarettes.


Electricity, heating and water are included in the cost of your holiday. The apartment has electric heaters which can be controlled individually and there is instant hot water at any time.

Unlimited fibre wireless broadband is provided free of charge and details of how to connect to the internet will be made available on arrival.

Whilst every effort is made to maintain the broadband service there may be loss of service due to faults on the phone line. We cannot be held responsible for any loss of this service during your stay, though we will do our best to trace and rectify any faults as quickly as possible.


Hotel quality bedlinen is provided. One hand towel and one bath sheet per person will be included together with kitchen towels.


We operate a dog friendly policy and we welcome 1 or 2 dogs per booking at no additional cost. Details must be supplied when you book your holiday. See separate dog policy where applicable.

Right of Entry

We reserve the right to enter the premises at any time during your stay to inspect should we have reason to believe the property is being mistreated or for any repairs or emergencies.


We accept no responsibility or liability for damage or theft to or from any vehicles or damage or theft to or from any of your personal belongings left in the property or within its grounds. We accept no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury to any member of your party that may occur whilst you are in occupation of the property.

Dog Policy

Although we are Dog owners ourselves and Number 7 Ninian’s Landing is dog friendly, we do adopt a dog policy to protect our property and for the benefit and comfort of all guests who come to stay with us in the future.

We welcome up to 2 dogs at no additional cost, however we may be flexible so please ask. We reserve the right to refuse any booking that we feel is not appropriate. Full details, including name and breed of dog must be given on the booking form. On arrival at the holiday apartment should the dog(s) that you have brought with you not reflect the information on the booking form then we reserve the right to refuse occupation. In these circumstances the cost of your holiday will be refunded to you less your initial deposit which will be kept by us to compensate for our loss of the booking. In consideration of our future guests dog owners are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of all dog refuse. For the consideration of our future guests we request that dogs are not allowed on furniture or in the bedroom at any time. Please do not use the bath in the bathroom to clean your dog. Dogs should be treated with a flea and tick repellent prior to arrival. Please keep your dog under control and quiet when inside the property and do not leave your dog unattended inside or outside. We assume no responsibility for loss, illness or injury that may occur to your dog whilst you are staying at Number 7 Ninian’s Landing.
